Halloween soccer fun

Getting into the Halloween spirit, Will coached the soccer game on Saturday in his "stubby" costume. The pictures say it all...

We went to a super fun party after the game, so the girls came to the game dressed in costume...more on the party later!

Another year older...

I didnt have any special plans this year for my birthday, other than a massage, which was great! After I spent the morning with the girls and was suprised by a princess pink balloon and pink accessories from Caylin and my favorite...a chore book from Aiana :), Will took headed out for a day alone! One of my gifts was a day without the girls. Will and I couldnt remember the last time we were able to spend the day together, it was such a treat. We had lunch down by the beach then went for a walk afterwards. There was a pod of dolphins swimming by and they were very active. I know I go to Sea World all the time, but there is something special about watching these animals in the wild. It was so nice to be able to just sit and enjoy the scenery without any distractions. Will and I enjoyed eachothers friendship, which in itself was a wonderful gift. It's not everyday that we feel like the best of friends. :) Later that evening we enjoyed spending time with good friends. It was a great way to begin another year of life!

Open House

Last week was Caylin's 1st open house at her new school. She was VERY excited to show mom and dad around. It was so cute to see her little art work on the walls and to hear her tell us about it. She loves domestic play, and after she was finished showing us around, she played in the house area. She even did a circle time with her baby. Since Caylin has started school, she plays school at home with all her babies. She is doing so well and really enjoys school.
Anika made a friend

Another Caylin funny...

After making and cleaning up dinner, giving the girls a bath and getting ready for bed, and putting Anika night night, I asked Caylin "Caylin, what do mommies do best?". I was waiting for a sweet acknowledgment of all my hard work and Caylin replied "They wear undies...yeah, big ones!"

Where does she come up with these things??!!

Had to add this too...

I took some photos of my friends baby today. She came to my house so of course my girls were all over me. I tooks some shots with a black background and some in a basket I have. This evening after taking the photos, Caylin was playing with her babies and working hard at something. When I asked her what she was doing, she told me she wanted me to take some pictures of her baby. She was setting up the black backdrop and getting the basket ready with cusion and blankets. When I looked over she had her baby laying on the black background, then moved her over to the basket. During her babies "photoshoot" she was standing next to her baby clapping and snapping and trying to get her baby to smile and look up.

Soccer fun

The little ones and I stayed to watch big sis (and dad) practice. Caylin can't wait to get out there and play! Anika just loves to sit on the side lines and cheer on her big sister. Is it my turn yet?Aiana's biggest fan

Beautiful sunset

After getting Aiana off to church and Anika to bed, Caylin and I were getting ready to color. As we walked out into the back living room, Caylin gasped and said "OHHHHHHH Booodifull" and ran out to the deck. This is what she saw and was so excited about.

While we were out there, we saw our friendly hawk that likes to perch on our deck and Caylin said "Oh man, I dont want that spiegle to bite me".

Here are some shots of Anika before she went to bed, showing off her blue eyes and new pearly whites.

Catching up

I havent had much time to update our blog. Anika is teething big time, she has 4 theeth coming in all at once, plus she has a cold. Those two together are causing her to be VERY grumpy! She calms down when we go for a walk or play outside. When she doesnt calm down I just put her to bed. I'm also discovering that Anika is a tantrumer...is that a word?...When she's upset, she screams and throws herself on the ground. Not a good sign since she's not even one yet! Man! She is a sweetie but definately feisty.
We took the kids to Disneyland last Tuesday. We had a blast! All Caylin could talk about was seeing the princesses, she was so excited to see Sleeping Beauty's castle, but we couldnt find any princesses. Aiana was excited to ride Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain, she just recently overcame her fear of roller coasters...I was just as excited as she was! The wait time for rides was only 5 minutes. It was a perfect day! We never did get to meet any of the princesses, we found out later there is a specific area we had to go to see them, but when we got there they were closed. Good thing Caylin didnt know about it yet. She did get to see them in the parade.

Some of the cute things that came out of Caylin's mouth:

1. When we arrived at Disneyland, we told Caylin to keep her eye out for the princesses. When we turned to look at her she looked very concerned and said "You want me to take my eye out?"

2. When I asked her if she wanted to ride Dumbo, she told me "You cant ride it because your bottom wont fit."

Over the weekend we celebrated my brother's 30th birthday. We took him and his wife out to dinner downtown to the Ocean Room. We went to dinner at 7:30pm and were ready to head home by 10:30. I cant believe my friends and I didnt even leave the house until at least 10:30pm to hit the town (before kids)! I was feeling pretty old! I had a great time with my bro! Check out these photos of my brother and I.
