Morro Bay

We had a great time with our friends, the Spees, in Morro Bay. It's such a treat to spend time with them!

Aiana stayed back and had a fun weekend with Mimi painting her room, something she has been wanting to do for a LONG time!

Biggest dog ever!

Sunshine!

This summer has been cold! Finally, we had a little sunshine...well a lot of sunshine. We went from weather in the low 70's to high 90's. After picking up Aiana from camp, we had a pool day to cool off.

Daddy's dream come true

Well, Will finally got his girls out in a sail boat! They loved it! Little future sailers I think?

Aiana, though not on the sail boat, had a blast on the kayak. She and her friend got a good work out!

Love that we can get our kayak out again!

Day with cousins

What a lovely evening with our cousins Clarke and Tami in Carlsbad.

It has been a treat to spend some fun times with Clarke and Tami. No annual camping trip this year, but we saw In The Heights together and had so much fun at the Orange County fair with them! Such a fun sleep over :)
I can't believe these girls are going in to high school already!

More Legoland

We are definately getting our money's worth with our Legoland passes! Today we went with cousin Kaila. I was worried about the crowd since it's summer and it took us 15 minutes just to park, but it wasnt bad at all! It was nice and warm so the girls had a blast playing in the water. What a fun day!
When we got home the girls were complaining about the heat, then it began raining. So they went out in their raincoats and umbrellas and ended up swimming in the their little pool. Ahhh no more complaints and I was able to make dinner!
Getting excited to see Aiana, she left for camp last Sunday and is coming home tomorrow! Her last year at Thousand Pines as a camper, she hopes to go back as a camp leader. Cant wait to hear stories!

and we're off...

School's out! First stop VBS. Caylin's preschool held a vacation bible study and Aiana volunteered as a leader. This was Caylin's first experience with any kind of "summer camp" and she loved it! It was also Aiana's first time in a leader role, and it was so cute to see the little kids in her group looking up to her and chasing after her. I can definitely see her doing this again.

4th of July for us this year was pretty mellow. We hung out with my mom for the day. It was cold, but the girls still enjoyed swimming and Aiana and her friend hung out.

Grandma Airdrie sent festive little clips for the girls, so cute! :)

Happy Birthday Caylin!

The big 5!

Caylin had a blast with her girlfriends this year at Kid Ventures. She was a little torn when it came to the invites because we had to keep the numbers at a certain amount, so we decided to just have a girl party. They all had so much fun dressing up, dancing, and playing. The staff was awesome, so I was able to sit back and relax and watch the fun!

So proud of my big girl. 5 seems like such a significant age! She is a helpful big sister, taking on her own chores now, getting ready for kindergarten, learning to read and write, and much more.

I love you sweet girl! Happy Birthday!
