Bike Parade

Caylin had her last preschool bike parade. The kids "dress" up their bikes, bring them to school, and proudly show them off as they ride around the parking lot.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day I just wanted to have some quality time with my family. We did a little staycation down at the beach and spent the day swimming, eating, and lounging. I love when all my girls are together, well, when the whole family is together. I love watching my girls interact...when their not fighting. :) Aiana brought beads and showed Caylin and Anika how to make bracelets. Being a mom is hard work, but there's also nothing better. My girls are teaching me so much more than I could ever learn without them in my life. There's a lot that I feel like I'm loosing, like brain cells and sleep, but what I'm gaining will carry me through. Thank you girls for the joy you bring to my life, and for teaching me how to love deep and unconditionally. I love you!! and to my own mom, thank you for being so patient with me, believing in me, and always loving me unconditionally! I love you! and to my husband thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin and for cherishing me as the mother of your children. I love you!

monkey see...monkey do...and yes, they needed to change after this!

Worship time

The other day I was listening to Hillsong and found Anika in the other room like this...

Open house

We attended Caylin's last preschool open house. She just loves her teachers. She comes home everyday after school and reenacts the day, reading books and singing songs, I love it!
Eric Carle was the theme for their classroom.

Garden fun

Will has been working hard on the garden again. So far we've harvested lettuce and broccoli. I am so thankful for all of his hard work, fresh veggies are so much better tasting and it's fun for the kids. I don't know what is more fun for them, all the bugs and playing in the dirt, or eating the food they've helped grow? For Aiana, the eating part is definitely more fun! :)

Speaking of gardens, we may our last trip to the flower fields for the year, and guess who we saw on vacation!? Santa!!

Happy (belated) Easter!

Easter has come and gone and I am just now getting to update our blog. I really enjoyed our Easter this year. The day was full of great conversation with friends and family, kids laughing and playing, sun shining, Easter egg hunting, and even an earthquake to shake things up a bit! My heart was happy as I thought about years past. When we first moved into this house I went through such a hard time. New home, Will started a new business, and then we had a new baby...who cried a lot and didn't sleep much, which caused mama to feel pretty hopeless at times. I never knew how I was going to wake up feeling. So, to have this wonderful day with friends and family filled me with peace and joy, and was such a reminder that God is constantly moving and working in our lives for good.

The week prior was laid back.

Celebrating Grandpa's birthday

While out to lunch with Mimi, this huge parrot scared Anika so bad with it's super loud squawk! She continues to talk about the loud "carrot"

So much fun to color eggs! Good thing Anika isn't allergic to the shell of the egg!

Gotta love the neighborhood egg hunt (p.s. this is a good shot of where Caylin cut a chunk out of the back of her hair)

And of course, the Easter basket scavenger hunt...that usually begins at the crack of dawn

Sister love :)
