Sister love!

Good morning Anika!

A typical Caylin look...

Ok, it’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted!! It seems like I just don’t have time to get on and journal! Anika is wanting more attention and she and Caylin do not nap at the same time (which needs to change!).
Last month I didn’t post about Easter because we really didn’t have an Easter. We were ALL out of it with the flu. It is very challenging to care for 3 kiddos with the flu while mom and dad both have it too. I’m very glad that is over with!! A little before Easter, my dear sweet Nana passed away. I do miss her but I keep thinking of how much she wanted to be with Jesus. I’m realizing now too how much she taught me and what a strong woman she was. Her faith was unbreakable, and her unconditional love for everyone was unchangeable. And of course now I wish I would have spent more time with her. We had a memorial service for her on March 31 which would have been her 90th birthday.
Updates on the kids:
Aiana is doing great. She joined the worship band for the middle school youth group. She is loving it! Between Will and I, we get her to band practice and youth group on Wed nights and 7am on Sunday mornings (which then she stays until noon). It’s a big commitment but SO worth it! Aiana is turning into such a confident and compassionate young lady. She’s looking forward and already making plans for her birthday that is coming up in May. Also, looking forward to summer break and summer camp!
Caylin is finally interested in potty training!! YAY!!! We did a short outing today and she stayed dry! I’m very excited about only buying diapers for one child! She’s a sweetie pie. I ended up taking her out of preschool. She liked “cool” and I loved the break, but there was something in me that felt like it wasn’t time yet. I’m enjoying her and we are enjoying hanging out with our friends from our moms group on the days that she was in preschool. We’ll probably start up again after the summer. She loves to ride her bike, play dress up, swim, play at the park, and play with friends. I am finally able to enjoy playdates and visiting with other moms since Caylin has grown out of her biting/hitting/spitting/pushing stage (hallelujah!!!!)!
Anika is just as happy as ever, squealing and laughing all the time. She’s really falling in love with her sisters. I love it because Caylin actually entertains her now. She’s not the best napper, but she will fall asleep on her own, which is something I never experienced with Caylin. She’s a very easy going girl.
Will has been busy with work but he loves what he does. Our weeks are busy and we are craving a vacation…even a night out alone would be nice! But we love our little family!
